Why Color by Numbers are AWESOME!

Listen, I get that worksheets are overused. The thing about color-by-number worksheets is they provide your students or homeschool kiddos fluency practice in a delightful way.

What's so GREAT about the multiplication color by numbers for 3rd-grade that I create?

Let me ask you another question and I will tell you.

Why do I ask students to find the product and then find it in a range of numbers?

The simple answer is that I want to promote good mental number sense and arithmetic strategies. I have students solve the multiplication fact sentence and THEN find that product in a range. Instead of just solving the same fact for one color over and over. For example; you won't see 7 x 4 and 4 x 7 for one color.

The difference between version 1 and version 2 is the clip artist. Each clip artist displayed different pictures and colors that differentiate them. Version 2 is more cutesy and colorful and Version 1 happens to be more old-timey with turquoise and golds.

They are both equally beautiful and it will come down to your preference.
