Thanksgiving Color by Number for Multiplication

Thanksgiving color by number for multiplication is an excellent "get to " activity for practicing multiplication fluency right before break. Students have their heads in the clouds (or pie, rolls, turkey... you get the point).

As said above, before Thanksgiving break is a good time to use multiplication color by number worksheets because it's a fun activity that students want to do and they are actually practicing fluency at the same time.

Thanksgiving Multiplication Color by Number

These Thanksgiving color by numbers ask students to find the product and find it in a range of numbers.

Why do I ask students to find the product and then find it in a range of numbers?

The simple answer is that I want to promote good mental number sense and arithmetic strategies. I have students solve the multiplication fact sentence and THEN find that product in a range). Instead of just solving the same fact for one color over and over. For example; you won't see 7 x 4 and 4 x 7 for one color.
